LGen Andrew Leslie for Macleans
Retired Lieutenant-General Andrew Leslie in Ottawa for Macleans Magazine.
Leslie was tasked with finding a way for the government to save money and make the Canadian Forces more efficient and he believes that $1-billion annually can be saved mostly by reorganizing and removing 11,000 personnel from various headquarters. Former Canadian Forces generals have opposing opinions on the matter. The Canadian government is attempting to trim 5% from all departments to meet deficit reductions goals.
